The cities of Hemet and San Jacinto are located in Riverside County, California, approximately 85 miles east of Los Angeles and 82 miles north of San Diego. Situated just west of the San Jacinto Mountain range. Hemet and San Jacinto are the gateways to the southern portion of the San Bernardino National Forest, one of Southern California's largest natural recreational areas. Other scenic and recreational attractions include Diamond Valley Lake and Palm Desert, just over the mountains and the quaint mountain town of Idyllwild to the east.

The City of Hemet was incorporated in 1910 and served primarily as a trading center for the surrounding area's vast agricultural lands. Hemet's year-round warm temperatures and affordable housing have made the community an attractive area for retirees and young families to reside, away from the crowded metropolitan cities. Coupled with the scenic beauty of the San Jacinto Mountains, Hemet is fast becoming a popular destination for visitors and new residents alike.

The City of San Jacinto holds the distinction of being the oldest city in Riverside County, being incorporated in 1888. Since that time, San Jacinto has grown rapidly into a dynamic community, providing a balance of agricultural, industrial, commercial and residential uses to support its growing population and tourist visitors.
